The RX 350h is equipped with a larger, yet more efficient 2.5L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, mated to a Lexus Hybrid Drive motor. This power plant produces 246 horsepower and 233 lb-ft of torque and is mated to an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (ECVT). Owners looking for the most efficient Lexus RX currently available should have the RX 350h variant at the top of their shopping list as this model returns fuel economy metrics of 6.3L/100km in the city and 6.8L/100km on the highway.

A first for the Lexus RX model lineup is a performance-oriented RX 500h variant that combines efficiency with sporty exterior design and driving dynamics. Making impressive horsepower and torque figures at 367 and 406 respectively, further improving its performance vitality in the luxury SUV segment.

Available later in the year, a plug-in hybrid variant of Lexus RX dubbed the RX 450h+ features a 2.5L four-cylinder engine mated to an 18.1-kWh lithium-ion battery and rear E-Four motor.
